James Calvin "Jimmy" Dean, 83, of Bentonville passed peacefully Nov. 18, 2018. He was born in Centerton on June 2, 1935 to the late Jesse James Dean and Zelda Irene (Mills) Dean. He was preceded by his sister, Nell Blevins and brother, Coin Dean. Jimmy is survived by Jeanie, his loving wife of more than 40 years; daughters, Elaine Burchett, Angela Dean, Gwyn Buzzell and son-in-law, CAPT Robert Buzzell USN (Ret); nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nephew, Gary; and nieces, Lana, Vickie, Laurie and Sandra. Jimmy had a passion for his work in the oil fields of New Mexico, Wyoming and Colorado. Upon retirement from the oil industry, he returned home to Northwest Arkansas and began driving regional routes for Walmart. Jimmy enjoyed his time as a radio personality, teaching square dancing, hunting and fishing with friends. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Farmington, New Mexico. In the Chapel of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers, the family will receive friends Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 from 1 p.m., and his Memorial Service will begin at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Centerton Cemetery.
