Frankie Marie Barker

Frankie Marie Barker, 97, of Springdale passed away Friday November 16, 2018 at her home. She was born December 28, 1920 in Kingston, Arkansas to Emmett and Sinda Burk DuVall. Frankie graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1963 with a bachelor's degree. She taught first and second grade for 37 years, then later retired from Walmart as a door greeter. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking for her family and helping Poppy with their cattle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years, Clyde F. Barker; one daughter, Lou Feagin, one grandson, Jackie Feagin; two sisters, Hazel DuVall and Dorothy Grigg. Survivors include one daughter, Bettie Marchant and husband Darel of Springdale; three sisters, Pearl Phillips, Minnie Hutchison and Alice Leinberger all of Idaho; eight grandchildren, Jerry Feagin, Cindi Feagin, Bo Parmain, Bobbie Blackbird, Heather Sizemore, Ed, Rick, and Dan Marchant; eight great grandchildren, Stephanie Maupin, Jessica Boring, Tommy Parmain, Kolby Sizemore, Cameron and Derek Doshier and Huk and Stevie Blackbird; two great great grandchildren, Jack and Laynie Maupin; and her sweet dog Roxy. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 2pm at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Joe Lester officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
