Laurence Vernon Tysk

Larry Tysk, 73, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, died November 11, 2018 in Bella Vista, Ark. He was born May 17, 1945 in St. Paul, Minn. He was preceded in death by Angeline Hermes Tysk and Laurence Tysk of Roseville, Minnesota. Larry graduated Cretin High School in 1963 and attended St. Thomas College. He served in the United States Navy from 1966-1971 as dispersing clerk on the USS Hornet. Larry was a proud member of the Pipefitters Steamfitters Local 455 in St. Paul. He became an Enrolled Agent and prepared taxes with H&R Block. Larry was a skilled outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed hunting, boating and fishing. He shared the family cabin in Annandale, Minnesota for reunions and patiently taught children how to water ski and catch fish. Larry was a good cook. Larry also had a passion for old cars and was able to repair anything. Larry retired in 2003 to beautiful Bella Vista, Arkansas where he enjoyed golfing, flipping homes, playing poker and canning fruit. He was a humble and generous neighbor ready with a quick hand to problem-solve. He is survived by wife, Mary Nimis-Tysk; daughter, Brittany Tysk of Anoka, Minn.; sisters, Carol Tysk Miller and Ron Miller of Sepulveda, Calilf.; and Linda Tysk, St. Paul, Minn.; also nephew Erik and Lisa Miller of Shoreview, Minn. and niece, Jennifer and Mike Riner of Ventura, Calif. Larry and Mary are grateful to the medical teams of the University of Minnesota, Kidney Transplant Center, Mercy Hospital in Rogers, and Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. Memorial services will be held at 10va.m., Saturday, November 17th at Nativity of the Lord in Noel, Missouri. Graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Church at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, November 24th in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Memorials may be made to University of Minnesota, Kidney Transplant Center or the Circle of Life Hospice, Bentonville, Arkansas. Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
