Lois Marjorie Phillips Edwards, 78, of Springdale died November 6, 2018. She was born March 20, 1940 in Quitman, Arkansas, the daughter of James Edison and Charlcie Harris Phillips. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Springdale for over 48 years. She loved her Lord and Savior, her family and her many friends. Lois used her gifts of hospitality and compassion to make her house a home where all were welcome. She loved to talk to anyone and cook for everyone. You will never meet a more generous person with her time, money or laughter. Her crown is full from her many acts of kindness in which no acknowledgement or payment was wanted or needed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Edwards, to whom she married December 28th, 1962. She will be greatly missed by her three children and their spouses, Todd Edwards and wife Carie, Tony Edwards and wife Cathy, Julie Herrera and husband Johnny; five grandchildren, Hayden, Isaac and Sophia Herrera, Kennedy and Ty Edwards; one sister, Arline Shrader and husband Larry of Grundy, Virginia; and one brother, Gary Phillips and wife Susan of Conway, Arkansas. She was Mema to many, including her niece Sonja Griffith and husband Bill of Madison, Alabama and their children Shrader and Will also an Aunt Berniece Tarkington.
