She volunteered as a Gray Lady for the Red Cross, Girl Scout leader, and church treasurer, and held part-time secretarial and tax preparation positions. She was a good cook, and once hosted a Thanksgiving dinner for 34. Although she enjoyed cruising, crafting, jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards with her friends, her greatest love was her family. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Dell of Wichita, Kansas, Yvonne (Doug) Hewett of Boise, Idaho; one son, Harold (Deugkyoung) Pape of Meriden, Connecticut; two sisters, Rose Marie Cole of St Peters, Missouri, Joyce Hancock of Cave City, Arkansas; one brother, David (Linda) Reynolds of Irvington, Illinois; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 10:00 am – 11:00 am Tuesday May 29, 2018 at Moore's Chapel, with service to follow. Burial will be at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market St, Wichita, Kan., 67202.
