Wayne Gemar

Wayne Gemar, 87, of Highland, Ill., died May 14, 2018. Wayne was born July 14, 1930, to Theodore and Kathryn Gemar. On February 14, 1988, he married Patsey Leewright. Wayne served in the US Navy during the Korean conflict, on the USS Norton South, as an electrician. He worked for Georgia Pacific as a truck driver until retiring in 1992. Wayne is survived by wife, Patsey Leewright-Gemar; daughter, Roxanna Ray; stepson, Eric (Eleanor) DePew; stepdaughters, Ravonda McGualey, Ramona Foster, Roberta Bayne, Rebecca Johnson and Susan Garza; grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Viola Neff-Foster; step-son, Robert Foster. No services will be held. Meridith Funeral Home, Highland, Ill.
