Pauline M Willis

Mrs. Pauline M. Myers Willis, 98, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, May 15, in Anniston, Ala. Mrs. Willis was born July 31, 1919 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was a devoted member of Gum Springs Baptist Church all of her life where she served as secretary for many years. She enjoyed preparing meals for church and family members, teaching Sunday School and singing in the choir. Mrs. Willis also served on the board of Oak Hill Cemetery over 50 years as secretary/treasurer. She loved being outside working in her large garden and beautiful flowers, taking care of peacocks, chickens, pheasants, doves – but most of all her llama "Saban" and dog "Foxy". Mrs. Willis is preceded in death by her husband Marion "Pete" Willis; father, Wilba "Bud" Myers; mother Pearl "Granny" Myers; brothers, Forrest "Jack" Myers (Lela) and Bill Myers; and nephew Larry Bruce Myers. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Willis Bankson (Mannon) and Sheila Willis Moss; a grandson, Trey Bankson (Alison); great-grandchildren Lanier and Ali Bankson who referred to Mrs. Willis as GreatMother; sister-in-law, Rita Myers; and nephews, Richard "Dick" Myers, Ken Myers, Jerry Myers, and their families. Memorials may be made to Gum Springs Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1472, Siloam Springs, Arkansas 72761 or First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1789, Anniston, Ala. 36202. There will be a memorial service at Gum Springs Baptist Church on Monday, May 21 at 10:30 a.m. with a private burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
