Jayme Kay Huff, 64, of Fayetteville, transcended her earthly bonds on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. She was born March 7, 1954. Her life was a journey of learning, teaching, activism, and was always open to adventure. She was born in McCrory, Ark., to James Milton and Betty Huff who preceded her in death.
Jayme graduated from Arkansas State University in 1975 with a degree in education, and went on to earn her doctorate in education from the University of South Dakota. Her career included positions at the Little Rock School District, University of Texas, & the University of South Dakota.
Activism was a part of Jayme's pursuit of social justice and she was an active advocate for women's rights, and various social causes. She lived and shared her life for the betterment of those who had no voice.
Her summer breaks from her teaching assignments included trips to India, France, and leading an Alaskan wilderness camp for a month.
Jayme grew up in McCrory, Ark. and is survived by her sisters, Mary Pat Cullum of Conway, Kelley Stinnett (Scott) of Siloam Springs, and her brother Milton Huff (Teresa) of Conway, and her nieces, and nephews; Jason Cullum, Benjamin Stinnett, Elizabeth Stinnett, Corbin Stinnett, Bailey Stinnett, Courtney Meena, Elizabeth Hamilton, & Caroline Huff. She is also survived by two grandnieces and five grandnephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home, 650 Central Landing Blvd., Conway, Ark. 72032 Interment will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online guestbook available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/conway.
