Calvin V. Dunkle, 90, died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in Altus, Oklahoma surrounded by his family. He was born October 18, 1927 in Robinson, Arkansas to George and Viola (Curry) Dunkle in Robinson, Arkansas. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Charline Truelove Dunkle, sisters Wanda Hastings and Charlotte Miller, son and daughter-in-law Duane and Becky Dunkle, son and daughter-in-law Brian and Debbie Dunkle, grandchildren Apryl and Seth Harbaugh, Danica and Michael Zanetti, Crystal and Nathan Kinnaird, and Courtney and Shawn Daugherty, grandsons Devin and Matthew Dunkle and 12 great grandchildren Everett, Elijah, Ella, Salomae, Josiah, Ethan, Braeden, Oliver, Evaline, Ada, Everly, and Dawson. Calvin was a Korean War veteran, serving in US Army 1950-1951. He was an over the road truck driver for 37 years ultimately retiring in 1988 from Jones Truck Lines in Springdale, Arkansas. He loved camping, traveling, working on the lawn and being outdoors. He especially loved being with family. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, May 8th at Benton County Memorial Park, 3600 West Walnut Rogers, Arkansas. Pastor Boyd Whitehead will be officiating. Viewing for friends and family will precede the service at 1:00 pm. Internment will immediately follow the service.
