It is with great sadness, yet peace the family of Walter A. Page announces his passing after a sudden illness on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the age of 72 years. He was born in Coffeyville, Kan., April 2, 1945. After graduating with a business degree from the University of Arkansas he returned to Coffeyville to work in the family business, Page Milk Company. Throughout his working life he worked with several northwest Arkansas cornerstone corporations retiring from Arkansas Western Gas. Walt was a faithful member of University Baptist Church for 35 years serving as a deacon, usher, and a volunteer for Second Mile Ministries. He was however best known by his family and friends as a follower of Jesus and a lifelong Yankees fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Rita Page. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diana Page, his beloved son, Scott Page and his wife Mollie of Rogers, Ark., his four grandchildren, MacKenzie Claire Page, Mary Ellen Page, Rosalyn Grace Page, and Isaiah Biruk Page all of Rogers, Ark., and one brother, Cress Page of Arizona. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 23rd from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, March 24th at University Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Pastors Scott Page, Brad Wheeler, and John Mueller officiating. Burial will follow next week at Restlawn Memorial Park in Coffeyville, Kan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Second Mile Ministry c/o University Baptist Church.
