Richard Dietrich

In Loving Memory of Richard Dietrich who died Saturday January 27th at Autumn Leaves Assisted Living Memory Care Community in Edmond, Okla. Richard leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Ann M. Dietrich, and three sons: Kurt, Stan and Pete Dietrich. Preceding him in death were his parents William H. Suhring and Florence Dietrich; step-father Howard Dietrich; and daughter, Elizabeth Ann Dietrich. Richard was raised in Mount Morris, Ill., and moved to Wheaton, Ill., in 1951. After attending Purdue University, Richard began a 35+ year career with the Northwestern Mutual Life (NML) Insurance Company as an agent in Aurora, Ill. Richard served in various positions of sales, training, management and leadership in Ill., Wis., Ark., and Okla. Richard achieved all major industry designations and awards and often traveled to Washington D.C. to address industry issues. Richard took great pride in caring for his clients' needs. Richard married Ann Murray in January 1960 at Gary Memorial Methodist Church in Wheaton, Ill. He fully supported Ann in her education and career as an Oncology Certified Nurse, RN. Richard's pride and joy were his son's, his daughter-in-law's Lisa, Karen and Tracy, and his grandchildren. Known as "Far Far" (Father's Father), he was blessed with six wonderful grandchildren; Blake, Taylor, Tyler, Brock, Claire, and Joshua. The grandchildren always brought a twinkle to his eyes. A memorial service celebrating Richard's life will be held on Saturday, May 19th at New Covenant Methodist Church in Edmond.
