Lloyd Cecil Showalter

Lloyd Cecil Showalter, 76, of Lowell passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was born Sept. 4, 1941 in Denver, Colo., to the late Cecil and Pearl Showalter. Following graduation, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp where his radar equipment repair experience led to a 30-year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone. Lloyd enjoyed listening to a wide range of music, the outdoors, working on his car and his hours invested on his lawn and landscaping resulted in a park-like appearance. In retirement, he served for a number of years on Lowell's City Planning Commission and was a member of the Marine Corp League. Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 56 years, Helen Showalter; his daughter, Shari Showalter of Houston, Texas; his son, Greg Showalter of Lowell; numerous extended family members and dear friends. Private services with Military Honors will be held at a later date at Fayetteville National Cemetery where he will be inurned. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
