Roger Bryan Breshears, age 58 of Springdale was born in Springdale, Arkansas January 22, 1960 to Don and Janice Breshears. Roger graduated Springdale High School in 1978 and was approaching his 40th class anniversary. Later that year he married the love of his life, Tammy Kay Rhoads, to whom he spent the next 40 years of his happy life with. Growing up he had an inclination for all things mechanical. He would often say "I can drive or work on anything with wheels and a motor and most things without!". Through the years Roger loved his "toys", Pontiac GTO, Dune-Buggy, Motorcycles, Mustangs, big trucks, small trucks, normal-sized trucks, 4 wheelers, boats and too many more to mention. His skills in mechanics led to a career at Heekin Canning in Springdale in 1978. This blossomed into a 39 year career with Ball Corporation holding several positions, most recently Continuous Improvement Manager before his retirement in November of 2017. He would often say that he "new the plant (Ball Corp) like the back of his hand". Roger was first and foremost a family man. He loved spending time with his Sweetheart of 40 years, Tammy, and their children Dakota, Shayla, Jessica and Patrick. He especially loved doing anything for his precious granddaughter Ella (including playing dress up princess -- Tammy frequently said "It takes a real man to be a princess"). Roger loved the outdoors, particularly around his home on Beaver Lake. His favorite way to spend time was cruising the lake with his beloved wife Tammy. He also enjoyed spending time on the deck he built by hand, appreciating the lake view-- his own slice of Heaven on Earth. Roger enjoyed watching for deer which could be seen almost any time of day, feeding birds, bird watching, and the occasional owl calling. He loved listening to music turned up loud on his 15" speakers, thankfully we were blessed with neighbors who didn't mind classic rock. Roger was a friend to everyone, and everyone who met Roger recognized his kind heart. This Memorial day while he and Tammy were tending to their boat Roger noticed that two people seemed to be stranded on a jetski in the middle of the lake, when he approached and offered his assistance, the man stated that several boats had been passing by for "quite a while" without stopping. Roger was happy to pull the man and his nephew back to the boat dock they originated from several miles away. Needless to say the strangers were very gracious of Roger and Tammy's generosity. One of the men turned to Tammy and said "You have a good man" to which she replied " I know I do, thank you, several people have told me that recently!". Just a couple days later Roger would take his final breath peacefully in his home. Helping others and spreading happiness to loved ones was just another day in the life of Roger Breshears. Because of Roger we have an abundance of love in our family. In lieu of flowers we ask that you tell someone close that you love them today and spread Roger's greatest gifts to many people. Roger is survived by his wife Tammy Rhoads Breshears, his parents Don and Janice Breshears of Centerton.
