Marian Shuster Cochran

Marian Shuster Cochran, age 89, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord July 13, 2018. She was born May 19, 1929, in Huntsville, Arkansas, the daughter of Freeman and Jessie Cornett Shuster who preceded her in death. She married Dr. Tom Cochran on March 4, 1951 who preceeded her in death in 2013. She was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College (now U.C.A.) in 1950 with a B.S.E. Degree in Home Economics. She was president of her sorority, Alpha Sigma Alpha, for two years and was active and an official in many organizations on campus. She modeled in Little Rock at the major department stores. She was an accomplished seamstress and one of her hobbies was bridge. She was a member of The United Methodist Church and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown after moving to the area in 2003. She is survived by one son, Thomas Cochran and his wife, Kate, of West Fork, Arkansas; one daughter, Kelly Pratt and her husband, Gary, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Elizabeth Pianalto, of Tontitown, Arkansas; one brother Charles Shuster and his wife, Charlene, of Springdale, Arkansas; three grandchildren: Amos Cochran and his wife, Courtney, Van Pratt and Sydney Pratt; three great grandchildren: Maddie Cochran, Jude Cochran and Lucy Cochran; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be Tuesday, July 17, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Reverend Audie Long officiating. Private burial will be in Huntsville Cemetery.
