Jimmie Odell McKnight, 62, of Rogers, Arkansas departed this life and passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 20, 2018 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 28, 1955 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Odell and Shirley McKnight. Jimmie worked for McClinton Anchor Inc. from 1973-2005 as the Blast Quarry Supervisor for 32 years. He retired from McClinton Anchor and joined Buckley Powder from 2005-2012 as an explosive driver. He supervised and coordinated the blast of 175,000 tons of aggregate while managing 50 employees with his father, Odell. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching endless hours of car auctions, working on his vehicles, boating on Beaver Lake and exaggerating about how many fish he caught. He devoted his life to his family and his two beloved dogs, Biscuit and Buddy. Jimmie's memories will be cherished by his loving wife, Pam McKnight of Rogers; his parents, Odell and Shirley McKnight of Fayetteville; his children, Melisa (Paul) Williams of Farmington, Sandy (Scott) Cassiday of Fayetteville, and Nicholas McKnight of California; his sister, Cheryl (Brian) Pemberton of Missouri; his step-children, Amanda (James) Bassham of Springdale, Wesley Lightfoot of Springdale, Kayla (Jared) Lasch of MissourI, Gary Carpenter of Little Rock, and 16 grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home, Springdale. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Sycamore Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Burial will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Fayetteville.
