Janis ("Jami") I. Jensen, 91, of Rogers, formerly of Harlan, Iowa, passed away Dec. 2, 2017 at Jamestown Nursing Home in Rogers. She was born Sept. 2, 1926 in Clarinda, Iowa, the daughter of Jay and Irene Burwell Jamison. She married Robert E. Jensen on July 5, 1952 in Braddyville, Iowa. She was a graduate of Amity High School in College Springs, Iowa and the University of Iowa. She taught elementary school and home economics, worked as a home economist, and assisted in the office of her husband's optometry practice. She was an active volunteer for many years and devoted time to her church, PEO, and most especially, Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County, Ark. Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lotta May Lewis; brother-in-law Ted Lewis; brother, Horace "Bud" Jamison; sister-in-law Phyllis Jamison. She is survived by husband Robert Jensen of Rogers; three sons, Brent (Julie)Jensen of Scottsdale, Ariz., Brad (Sandy) Jensen of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Ric Jensen of Carter Lake, Iowa; one brother, James (Betty) Jamison of Mendota, IL; three grandchildren.
