Emma Lou (Nichols) Prophet; 1943 to 2017. Our beloved Emma Lou went to be with her heavenly family on December 11, 2017. Her husband was at her bedside. She was born to Eula Mae (Rayon) and Jerry Russell Nichols on November 20, 1943 near Rogers Ark. She attend elementary and Junior High school in Rogers. In 1958 she moved with her mother and brother, Bud, to Springfield, Ore. to join their father. She graduated from Springfield High.
She married Wiley Prophet in April 1964 in Eugene. After the wedding they traveled to Denver CO, where Wiley worked. They returned to Oregon in 1966, where the family's home is today. Son Jason was born in 1965, son Jeffrey joined the family in 1967 and son Jeremy in 1975.
She was a loving, kind and caring person, much loved by family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
Emma Lou was preceded by son, Jeremy, her parents, brother, Franklin (Bud) Nichols, niece, Donna Ash and nephew, Jim Ash both of Rogers, Ark., brother-in-law, Winston Prophet and nephew, Garry Prophet both of Rogers, Ark. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, sons, Jason and Jeffrey of Springfield, Ore., sister, Doris (Bill) Ash of Rogers, Ark., nephew, Gary (Allene) Ash of Lowell, Ark., sisters-in-law, Irene Prophet, Kathy Prophet of Rogers, Ark. and Michelyn Nichols of Eugene, Ore., brother-in-law, Clarence (Barbara) Prophet of Lawton, Okla. and nieces, Terry (Dick) Scroggins of Edmond, Okla., Lesa Gobble of Rogers, Ark., Pamela (Ron Burns) Anderton of Spanaway, Wash., Trisha (Brian) Eaker and Leanne (Mike) Mannon, both of Eugene, Ore., grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and extended family members and friends.
Her ashes will be placed to rest at the Rest Haven Memorial Park, in Eugene, Ore.
