Loyd Gene McClure of Rogers passed away on January 7, 2018. He was born on November 27, 1941 in Saddle, Ark. to the late Joseph Thomas and Cliffie Virgil McClure. He was the husband of Patsy (Moore) McClure. Loyd worked for Union carbide for 28 years. After retirement he enjoyed covered wagon rides, including the Shaddox Wagon Train from Harrison to Springdale. Loyd was a motorcycle enthusiast who also loved riding horses with his wife, Patsy. He and Patsy traveled together, and visited all 50 states. Survivors include his wife; son, Loyd Eugene McClure and wife Lorie of Rogers; grandchildren, Shawn Geddes, Michael Adams, Hannah Thomson; great-grandchildren, Michael Paul Adams, Autumn Thomson, Lynk Geddes; brother, Ray McClure; and sister, Barbara Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nelson McClure; and sister, Evelyn McClure. All are invited to visit with the family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Rollins Funeral Home.
