Ireva Thompson Winner, 95, of Huntsville, passed away on February 25, 2018 at her home. She was born November 20, 1922 in Qualls, Oklahoma; the daughter of Fields and Mattie Thompson. Ireva met Bob Winner in a bowling league in Downey, California. Their first date was the Moulin Rouge in Hollywood. They were married on December 31, 1955 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ireva said she came home a winner. She worked as an administrative assistant in California for many years. After retirement, Bob and Ireva enjoyed traveling many parts of the world. In 1986, they moved from California to Arkansas where they made their home in Huntsville. Many knew them as 'Bob and Reva', where you never saw one without the other close by. The loved couples golfing, playing cards, hosting dinners, and tending to their beautiful flower beds.  Bob and Ireva attended Harmony Baptist Church of Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, two sisters, and her husband of 59 years, Robert Harry Winner. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 2, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with the Reverend Glen Faulkner officiating. Pallbearers will be Rodney Israel, Jim Burwell, Jeff Burwell, Jude Box, Bracken Thompson, and Micheal Burwell. Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory.
