Dieter "Pete" Netzel

Dieter "Pete" Netzel, 69, of Rogers, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Arkansas. Pete was born on April 20, 1948, son of the late Max Netzel and Else (Preibisch) Netzel. He moved his family to Arkansas in 1989 to continue his career with Wal-Mart and retired as a Senior VP in International Merchandising. He enjoyed boating and lake life. Pete is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Karen Netzel of the home; two children, Kelly DeVetter and husband Scott of Austin, Texas and Jeff Netzel and wife Jill of Springdale, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Justin DeVetter, Jenna DeVetter, Kate Netzel, Caroline Netzel and William Netzel; three sisters, Ursela Kreft and husband Ewald of Foley, Alabama, Jutta Oberg of Madison, Wisconsin and Ruth Boness and husband Bob of Janesville, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews. Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Arkansas. Memorial service will begin at 2:00pm that day.
