Larry (Sam) Adams, age 79, of Rogers, AR passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018. He was born on April 7, 1938 in Webster City, IA the son of Truey E. and Mildred B. Adams. Sam was a United States Veteran and served in the Marine Corps directly out of high school. A celebration of Sam's life will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, February 23rd at the Messiah Lutheran Church, 15315 AR Hwy. 94, Pea Ridge, Ark. with Pastor Richard Mayer officiating. Sam attended Barber School in Des Moines, Iowa and continued his profession as a Barber for the past 56 years. Sam was a devoted husband, father, uncle, grandfather and most of all a friend to whoever he met. Sam enjoyed tinkering in his Barbershops, going to Flea Markets, fishing, traveling to his winter home in Texas and spending time with family. He was a die-hard Arkansas Razorback fan and loved to watch his ballgames. Sam is preceded in death by his father, mother and four sisters. Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Donna Adams. His three children from his first wife, Helen; Marty (Bethanne) Adams, Doug (Anita) Adams, Lori (Mark) Lunsford and his stepchildren Tony (Rhonda) Lakey, Terry (Pam) Lakey and Scott Lakey. Sam is survived by three brothers, Ervin Adams of Florida, Ed Adams of Iowa and Don Adams of Minnesota. Sam loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and his legacy will always be remembered as a great story teller and "horse trader".
