Clifford Eugene Wade

Clifford Eugene Wade, age 57, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was born November 6, 1960 in Springdale, the son of Wilfred C. and Ella Mae Bjork Wade. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice. Cliff was a lifelong resident of NWA attending Fayetteville schools where he met his girl Janice Tomlinson in Junior High. Married in 1980 they had two sons and enjoyed 35 years of marriage and many great memories. Cliff began working at Tomlinson Asphalt Co. in 1981 retiring in 2012 after 31 years. A self-taught mechanic he learned quickly and was essential to the operation. Not only did he keep equipment running, especially in the lean early years, he could do anything needed in the field from troubleshooting to operating equipment or running a paving crew. He worked hard and was a very valued member of the Company. Cliff and Janice enjoyed many things together especially racing, fishing, gardening, and later grandkids. In the early 90's Cliff built and raced stock cars at Thunder Valley/Fayetteville Motor Speedway. He and Janice were lifelong NASCAR fans. He is survived by two sons, Jason Wade and wife Lyndsay of Bentonville and Jonathan Wade of Fayetteville; his father, Winfred C. Wade of Farmington, his mother Ella Mae Gumm and stepfather Bill Gumm of Huntsville; brothers Raymond Wade of Fayetteville and Ernest Wade of Berryville; sisters Leanna Miller of Huntsville and Jennifer McMahon of Bruner, Missouri; and three precious grandsons: Nolen, Cole, and Ellis Wade, as well as numerous other family members and friends. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Moore's Chapel, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 in the chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Northwest, 2601 Gene George Blvd, Springdale, Arkansas 72762.
