Gwynn Vaughan Davis, 62, of Bella Vista, passed away on December 8, 2018, after a recent cancer diagnosis. Gwynn was born on December 30, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Wallace Carrol Vaughan and Carolyn Sulser Vaughan, of Little Rock, who preceded her in death. Gwynn is survived by her daughters Leigh Allison Davis, of Hermosa Beach, California and Lindsay Davis Lookadoo, of Bentonville, Arkansas; her granddaughters Addilyn Grace and Genevieve Taylor Lookadoo and her son-in-law Brian Lookadoo; her siblings Wallace C Vaughan, Jr of Montgomery, Ala., Terry Vaughan of Fayetteville, Ark., and Reggie Pogue of Little Rock, Ark. In addition, her surviving family includes her sister-in-law and life-long friend Chris Vaughan, brother-in-law, Tim Gilster and nephews, Wallace C Vaughan and Edward Alon Pogue. Gwynn was a graduate of Mount St Mary's in Little Rock and University of Arkansas Medical Center with a Nurse Practitioner's degree and Master's Degree in Nursing Gerontology. She spent most of her life in Little Rock and was employed by Baptist Medical Systems for the last 10+ years. Previously, Gwynn was a leading pioneer in Alzheimer's research and patient care; including opening and managing the Kenneth J Pennebaker Center in North Little Rock. She was an avid gardener, lover of science fiction movies, a voracious reader and most of all…"YaYa" to her two granddaughters. The family will hold a Memorial Celebration receiving friends and family at US Pizza in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday, December 15 from noon until 3 p.m. The family is asking that drought tolerant plants are sent in lieu of flowers, for the planting of a memorial succulent's garden at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Brian Lookadoo.
