William Ernest Hatfield, age 93, a native of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Virginia Peninsula resident for 45 years, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, August 4, 2018 with his loving wife by his side. He graduated from Fayetteville High School, AR, served his country in the U. S. Navy, was released from active duty in 1946, and remained on reserve status until 1955. William graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1948, worked as an accountant for Alcoa, USA, and retired in 1982 after 30 years of service. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Poquoson, Va. and the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. William was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Catherine Hatfield; son-in-law, William Goldman; and grandson, Asher Goldman. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Elizabeth Hatfield; daughters, Deborah Daniels and husband Neil of Fairfax, Va., Rebecca Goldman of Reisterstown, Md., and Barbara Goldman and husband Arthur of Poquoson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Kerrigan and husband Ryan of Portland, Ore., Daniel Bridge of Fort Collins, Colo., Michael Bridge of Sacramento, Calif., Ben Goldman and wife Carolina of Toronto, Canada, Julia Goldman of Long Island City, N.Y., Max Goldman and wife Mariam of Baltimore, Md., Molly Goldman of Philadelphia, Pa., and Elijah Goldman of San Diego, Calif., great-grandchildren, Anona Kerrigan of Portland, Ore., and Elias Goldman de Miguel and Gabriel Goldman de Miguel both of Toronto, Canada; and brother, Bobby Hatfield and wife Faye of Springdale, Ark. Memorial service and Interment will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Mt. Comfort Presbyterian Church and Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
