Mary Lou (Barlow) Johnson, 72, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018. She was born September 25, 1945 in Fort Smith to Leroy Wayne Barlow and Lucille (Shastid) Barlow. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Dorothy Swafford of West Memphis, Ark., and Martha Webb of Chandler, Ariz. She is survived by Randall Johnson her husband of 52 ½ years, her daughters Tina Wilson and her husband Ron of Fort Smith, Melissa Wessels of Fort Smith, and Lynda Gibson of McCloud, Okla; grandchildren Alexis Johnson, William Gibson, Eric Wessels and Katie Wessels all of Fort Smith, and Chris Wilson of Bismark, N.D.; great-granddaughter Nora Wilson of Bismark, N.D. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith, Co-founder of the local Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, member of the Republican Women in Sebastian and Benton Counties, Daughters of the American Revolution and a Girl Scout Leader. Her funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be William Gibson, Eric Wessels, Ron Wilson, John Newman and Rob Sparks, and Doug Speight honorary Pallbearer. The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
