Betty Gillette Hurl

Betty Gillette Hurl passed from mortal life on August 3, 2018. Betty was born on December 22, 1924, in Carver County Minnesota. She worked as an accountant for an insurance firm for 44 years. It was there she met her first husband Harry Gillette. They were married on October 6th, 1962. They relocated to Bella Vista in 1986. Harry passed away in 1996. Betty enjoyed traveling, fishing and golfing. It was on the Berksdale Golf Course where she met Chuck Hurl. They were married on November 29, 2008. They enjoyed 10 great years together in Bella Vista with trips to Europe and South America. Betty was an active member of the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista for 20 years and enjoyed being part of the choir. Betty was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include her husband Chuck Hurl; three step children from her first marriage and five from her second marriage. A memorial service to celebrate her life is planned for Friday August 10th at 2 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church located at 100 Cooper Road in Bella Vista. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions may be made to the United Lutheran Church or a charity of your choosing.
