Robert H. Camp

Robert H. Camp Jr. passed away on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 at Earl Howard Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on June 29th, 1931 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. and Bertha C. Camp, and one sister, Stacy Mosley. He is survived by his wife, Donna L. Camp and two step-children, Bradley A. McGee and wife Jill of Bella Vista, AR. and Kathy J. Powers and husband John of New Orleans, LA. Four grand children and two great grand sons, plus two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-laws, two nephews and two nieces, Cam was a special niece, all live in Florida. Robert was a Baptist and received his education in Arkansas and Texas. He retired from Entergy Corp. in 1990. He was a Senior Electronic Computer Specialist at the dispatch Center in Pine Bluff. Robert moved to Springdale, Arkansas in June of 1995. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief on AB-25 bomber. He also acquired a top secret clearance while working in the classified division of the 10th Air Force. His name is listed on The Wall of Honor in Bella Vista, Ark. He accepted veterans honors on April 20th, 2016 when he participated in an Honor Flight to Washington, DC with his stepson Brad McGee. Robert was a sixty plus year Mason and was a member of the Springdale Lodge #316. He was also a member of The Scottish Rite in Little Rock and was a Shriner, because of his love for children, for many years. He belonged to The American Legion, The N.R.A. and the Elks Lodge #1987 in Fayetteville. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle thru the hills, valleys, and back roads of Northwest Arkansas and Southern Missouri which he loved. During his younger years he was an avid duck hunter and fisherman. A masonic funeral will be conducted by the Springdale Masonic Lodge with military honors, graveside interment service to follow at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home, Rogers, Ark., Thursday, August 9th, 2018 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. before the start of the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Arkansas. Pallbearers; David Williamson, Scot Test, Loyd McCord, Jerry Beard, Tim Bunch, Tom Freking, Jim Boyd, and Ron Hopkins.
