Clyde Edwin Graham

Clyde Edwin Graham, 97 of Springdale passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born June 27, 1921 in Ashland, Maine to Lyman and Frieda Staples Graham. Clyde was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He received the American Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and World War II Victory Medal. He was a great storyteller. During his service in the Air Force Clyde was onboard a plane that went down in the ocean, although he was scared he and everyone survived. He retired from General Motors at the age of 51. He joked about being retired longer than he worked for General Motors. Clyde never met a stranger, he was voted King and Valedictorian of his graduating class. He was an active member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Vivian Graham; one son, Michael Dana Graham; one step son, Pat Phillips; five brothers, five sisters, and one great-grandchild. Survivors include his wife, Patsy Taldo Phillips Graham; one daughter, Sharon Graham McConnell and husband Tim of Gentry; one step son, Joe Phillips and wife Rita of Virginia; one step daughter-in-law, Mary Phillips of Springdale; one brother, Bill Bragdon of Presque, Maine; one sister, Virginia Jones of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other family members, friends, nieces and nephews. A mass of christian burial will be Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springdale. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and a Rosary will follow at 9:30 a.m. all at the church. Online condolences may be left at www.siscofuneral.com.
