Brick Wade Ogden

Brick Wade Ogden, 57, passed away March 29, in Kailua Oahu. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on October 17, 1960, to Jim and Sue Ogden. He graduated from Fayetteville High School and then earned a degree from the College of the Ozarks in Lookout, Missouri. Brick lived life to the fullest and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted father to his two sons, Nicolas and Ilya. From searching for the Loch Ness monster in Scotland to visiting every theme park in southern California, Brick instilled in his sons his own love for adventure. In addition to travel, Brick enjoyed all things creative. He was an amateur writer and actor. Brick was one of the founders of Athletic World Advertising in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He then began pursing other interests beginning in Los Angeles, then taking him to Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Brick was an entrepreneur who renovated an eighteenth century monument canal house and converted it into apartments on the famous Prinsengracht Canal. Ever the explorer, Brick next established an Eco-resort on the Amazon River in Peru, and spent some time living in Russia and Belize. Brick always considered Fayetteville to be his home until he finally found contentment in Hawaii. Brick is survived by his wife Elana of Oahu, Hawaii; sons Nicolas of Pau, France; Ilya of the home; mother, Sue Ogden of Molokai, Hawaii; niece, Audra Ogden of Fayetteville; nephew, Blake Ogden of Dallas, Uncle, Charles Ogden of Gulf Shores, Alabama; Aunt, Donna Trumbo of Fayetteville and cousins Matt and Heather Ogden, and Sean Trumbo of Fayetteville. Brick was greeted in heaven by his father, Jim Ogden and his younger brothers, Gregg and Clark. A private service was held in Kailua on April 4. A memorial service will be held in Fayetteville Arkansas at St Paul's Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 21 at 10 a.m.
