Joshua "Josh" James White, age 16, of Centerton, Ark., earned the wings that matched his golden heart on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at his home in Centerton. He was born Nov. 21, 2000, to Jennifer Lynn White and Keith Jeffrey White in Little Rock, Ark. Josh loved life, sports, and especially basketball, with his favorite team being Oklahoma City Thunder, but most of all he adored his family and friends. Josh was preceded in death by his grandfather, David William James. He is survived by his parents, Jennifer Lynn James White of Centerton, Ark., and Keith Jeffrey White (Dorsie) of Fort Smith, Ark.; brothers, Keith Kory White (Shauna) of Paradise, Calif., Matthew Drake Bradford, Caleb Michael Bradford, and Jared Axel Bradford of Centerton, Ark.; his grandparents, Joe and Connie Phillips of Conway, Ark., Keith and Darcy White, and Michael and Judy Clemens all of Paradise, Calif.; his aunts, Tiffany White (Matt) of Las Vegas, Nev., Brandy Swanson (Niel) of Conway, Ark., Angela Traylor of Bentonville, Ark., and uncle, Zach White (Adri) of San Francisco, Calif; two nephews; and many beloved cousins and friends. Josh was a student at Bentonville West High School where he one day hoped he would be able to play basketball again. However, his last competitive season of basketball was at Lincoln Junior High School where he made a special bond with his coach Alex McKnight and his teammates. Visitation will be held at Benton County Memorial Funeral Home, 3800 West Walnut St., Rogers, Ark. 72756 from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Fellowship Bible Church, 1051 W. Pleasant Grove Rd., Rogers, Ark. 72756 from 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28 2017 followed by a Reception at Cedaridge Event Center, 10889 Arkansas 72 W., Centerton, Ark. 72719 starting at 2 p.m. Josh was a hero to those who loved and knew him, and to so many who never had the opportunity to know him personally during his fierce battle with cancer. He inspired us to live life to the fullest with smiles on our faces, and happiness in our hearts. Feeling assured we will see him again, because he fought the good fight, he finished his course, and he kept the faith (II Timothy 4:7).
