Mildred Ruth Holloway

Mildred Ruth Spradling Holloway was born February 5, 1923 in Purdy, Ark. She made a peaceful journey into Heaven on November 7, 2017 in Fayetteville, Ark. at the age of 94. She was the daughter of Clyde and Willa Grigg Spradling. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.C. Holloway, her parents, three brothers: J.C., Rex, and H.C. Spradling, and son-in-law, Jim Fulfer Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Mildred Jean Fulfer of Springdale, Ark.; one grandson, Brent Fulfer and wife Dana of Springdale, Ark.; one granddaughter, Audra Corbitt and husband Brad of Fayetteville, Ark.; three great-granddaughters, Amanda Hoover and husband Ryan of Muskogee, Okla., Andrea Newell and husband Bryant of Cave Springs, Ark., Hannah Westphal and husband Keith of Rogers, Ark.; four great-great-grandchildren: Ezekiel Lee and Azariah Jett Hoover of Muskogee, OK and Drake Michael and Delta Lynn Newell of Cave Springs, Ark.; one sister, Maxine Foster and husband Noel of Huntsville, Ark.; one brother, Jasper Spradling and wife Pam of Huntsville, Ark.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ruth attended Faith Assembly of God church in Springdale, Ark. Granny, as she was lovingly referred to by most, was loving, kind-hearted, hardworking, and had a great sense of humor. She loved the Lord dearly and was a mighty prayer warrior. Granny mostly enjoyed spending time with her family, but she also like to sew, garden, and take daily walks. Recently, playing with her great-great grandchildren became her favorite past time. Her favorite color was red and she cherished her collectibles of milk glass and clear glass dishes – very few of us ever left her home without receiving a glass dish to take home with us. We won't say Granny was the best cook in the world, but she could snap beans and make a "mean" chocolate pie back in the day! Visitation will be Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 pm at Westfield Chapel Funeral Home, 3236 W. Huntsville Ave., Springdale, Ark. Funeral Service will be Monday, November 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Westfield Chapel. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Ark. Pallbearers will be Clyde Foster, Doug Foster, Larry Horine, Wilbert Howell, Jasper Spradling, Kelsey Spradling, and Rex Allen Spradling. Honorary pallbearers are Brad Corbitt, Jerry Holloway, Kendall Holloway, Kevin Holloway, Ryan Hoover, Bryant Newell, Keith Westphall, and Dwain Spradling.
