James Dale Parker. It is with great sadness that the family of James Dale Parker announces his passing after an acute illness, on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the age of 80 years. James will be lovingly remembered by his children, Todd Parker and wife, Kate of Exeter, Calif., Stacey Parker of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Lesley Parker Fry and husband, Jay Hunter Fry of Ocean Springs, Miss. James will also be fondly remembered by his two grandchildren, Sam Parker and Marin Parker of Exeter, Calif., his sister, Henley Smith of Springfield, Mo., and many friends in Northwest Arkansas. James was preceded in death by his parents, C. Henley Parker and Zora Ford Parker; and his sister, Billie Bland. James was born August 28, 1937 in Lowell, Ark. where he lived for 45 years until moving to Rogers, Ark., where he remained until his death. He began a farming career at a young age which he continued, in one form or another, throughout his life. He enjoyed quail hunting throughout the NWA area and fishing for crappie and bass in Beaver Lake. Later in life, he enjoyed shooting rifles at Hobbs State Park, shooting range, with friends. He had a great love for his kids and grandkids. A private family service will be held at a later date.
