Faye Louise Osburn

Faye Louise Osburn, 88, a resident of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at her home. She was born August 28, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of George Devine and Cecil Faye Taylor. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints where she served in many capacities including wife of the Bishop for twenty plus years, food storage coordinator and relief society president. She attended Skagit Valley Community College in Mt. Vernon, Washington and Graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1992 with a degree in History. Her name is on a brick at the University of Arkansas sidewalk east of Old Main. She worked for the Washington County School district as a substitute teacher. In her earlier years, she worked at Tally Electronic in Seattle, Campbell Soup in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Wal-Mart where she retired at the age of 80. She was a Cub Scout Master, PTA president and loved doing crafts, sewing and ceramics. She was preceded in death by two sons, Clyde W. Ginnett and Frank (Don) D. Ginnett; two grandsons, Elliott Carlson and Elliott Hess; two brothers, Bob Taylor and Don Taylor; one sister, Barbara Brandes. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Robert L. Osburn; two daughters, Quita L. Stone and Wendy A. Ginnett both of Fayetteville; two sisters, Dee Ford of El Dorado, Arkansas and Anne Vaughan of Meridian, Idaho; 70 plus grand, great grand and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Luginbuel Chapel Friday night from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 14th, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.
