Betty Jean Daharsh

Betty Jean Daharsh, 85 year old resident of Decatur, Arkansas, passed away January 10, 2017 at Jamestown Nursing Center in Rogers, Arkansas. Born July 6, 1931 in Decatur, she was the daughter of Lee Shook and Beulah Rice Shook. Betty graduated from Decatur High School. She married Dalmer "Lefty" Daharsh on July 6, 1951 in Decatur. She worked as a bookkeeper for Decatur State Bank and in human resources for Bates Hospital. Betty loved her grandkids, the Arkansas Razorbacks, and watching NBA games. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalmer in 2011; four sisters, and one brother. She is survived by two sons, Mike Daharsh and wife Lynette, and Steve Daharsh and wife Kristi, all of Rogers; four grandchildren, Teri Mason and husband Gary of Rogers, Jeremy Daharsh of Rogers, Jordan Daharsh and wife Whitney of Bentonville, Arkansas, and Drew Daharsh of Rogers; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Norma Jane Wilmoth of Decatur. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 at Falling Springs Church in Decatur with Pastor Mark Rotramel officiating. Burial will follow at Falling Springs Cemetery.
