Velma E. Pense, 99, of Winslow, Ark. passed away on Jan. 5, 2017 in Fayetteville, Ark. She was a homemaker, a charter member of Winfrey Valley Tabernacle and a lifelong resident of Crawford County. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning and camping. Velma was born Oct. 20, 1917 in the Kenny Community to John and Susie (Hare) Hayes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Arron Pense, her parents, one son, Tommy Pense and a daughter, Donna Philpott. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home Chapel of Alma with interment in Pense-Reed Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Jim Pense of West Fork, Ark., and Jay Pense of Fayetteville, Ark.; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Palbearers will be John, Jason, Zack, Cayson and Jeramy Pense and Brian Vaught. Honorary pallbearers will be David Collins, Roy Don Biswell, Greg Biswell, J.D. Branson, James Allen Branson and Jayce Branson. The family will visit with friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East Alma, Ark.
