Oscar Boyd Jr.

Oscar Boyd Jr., 87, of Rogers passed away on Friday Dec. 30, 2016. He was born Oct. 21, 1929 in Shady Point, Okla. to Oscar and Winnie (Huges) Boyd. He was the beloved husband of Sheila Boyd. Oscar was in the Airforce during the Korean War. He was later a publisher for the Morning News for 32 years. He is survived by his wife; son Danny and JudyJane Boyd of Fayetteville, Billy Vern and Charllot Boyd of Beaumont, Texas, Michael Drew and Lee of Huston, Texas; step daughters Suzy Stevenson of Edmond, Okla., and Lynn Stevenson of Edmond, Okla.; step son James and Cindy Stevenson of Rogers; sisters Marie and Thelma Boyd; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by both parents; a daughter Constance Lee Boyd; sisters Fay, Margret, Thelma, Marie, and one granddaughter Haley Hendrickson. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday January 3, 2016 at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday January 4, 2016 in the Rollins Chapel.
