Lisa J. Bishop

Lisa Jane Bishop of Vincennes, Ind. passed away on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at her mother's home in Lowell, Ark. Lisa was visiting for the Christmas Holiday and enjoyed a great family gathering the previous day. Lisa, the youngest daughter of Howard and Betty (Berry) Bishop was born Dec. 29, 1962. A graduate of Hendrix College, she went on to earn her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Indiana State University. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Bishop; brother, Don Bishop of Harrison; and sister-in-law, Angie Bishop of Lowell. Lisa is survived by her partner, Sue Kuehl of Vincennes, Ind.; her mother, Betty; her sister, Judy Crawford of Hot Springs; and brother, Joe Bishop (Eva) of Lowell; one niece; and five nephews; and their families, and a host of friends. Lisa served as Director of the Vincennes University Counseling Center for 22 years where she helped scores of students. She wrote and taught online courses in general psychology and abnormal psychology. Lisa was an avid sports fan (Go Hogs!) and along with Sue was great at helping their numerous friends. Her generous, loving, compassionate spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Memorials may be made in her name to the Building Fund at the Lowell First Baptist Church, P.O.
