Preston C. Ferguson

Preston C. Ferguson, 95, of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at his home. He was born May 24, 1921 in the Round Mountain Community to Thomas and Laura Tresner Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Eunice Ferguson; three brothers and one sister. Preston was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during the South Pacific Campaign. He was a recipient of 5 battle stars including the Battle of Leyte Gulf in WW II. He was a homebuilder and built numerous homes throughout Northwest Arkansas. He is survived by his thyree sons, Robert Gilkey (Cheryl), Dennis Ferguson (Phyllis) and David Ferguson (Lori); one brother, Francis Ferguson of Fayetteville; and numerous grandkids and great-grandkids. There will be a 2 p.m. interment on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. The family has requested that all guests planning to attend the burial to meet at the funeral home at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 2, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
