William "Bill" Carpenter, 81 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2017. He was born Nov. 27, 1936 in Hebbronville, Texas, the Son of Sidney Carpenter and Esther Watson. He was preceded in death by his Parents, his brother Don Carpenter and sister Ann Arney, both of Texas and wife Daphna. He was an Army Veteran, who served and was deployed during the Korean War. When he was younger, he loved training horses and was a calf roper in many rodeos. The family moved from Texas to be Farmers in Brentwood, AR. After retiring, Bill and Daphna moved to their dream home on Beaver Lake. Bill loved fishing and was an extremely gifted woodworker, to which his family has the privilege of owning many of his homemade treasures. Bill had a deep love for the game of baseball and some of Bill's proudest times was getting to watch his four boys play. He was also an avid Razorback baseball fan, attending many games in the company of his sons. In the days of retirement, Bill and Daphna gained a new love of golf, which they enjoyed together. He is survived by his four sons; Scott Carpenter and wife Kristi of West Fork, Jay Carpenter and wife Jackie of Springdale, Bubba Carpenter and wife Crystal of Fayetteville, Dean Carpenter and wife Michelle of Fayetteville and 8 Grandchildren; Dylan, Jordan, Kami, Jayci, Cade, Ty, Hallie and Dalton. He was a very proud Grandpa and will be dearly missed by his Family. Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Chapel and a private visitation for the Family has been held.
