Samuel D. Linderman

Samuel D. Linderman, 95, of Springdale passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017 at the Veterans Affairs Heroes' Haven. He was born Sept. 3, 1921 in Spencer County, Ky., to Elmo and Etta Coomes Linderman. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Katherine Price Linderman. Sam lived a full life, 95 years and he was never sick a day, amazing. He was a good role model, a devoted husband, hard worker, great provider and a tremendous dad. Samuel was a WWII Marine veteran stationed in Okinawa as an engineer building airstrips. He served from 1941-1945. He is survived by a son, Jon "Texxaco" Linderman of Fayetteville; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Linderman of Brentwood; a granddaughter, Samantha Craine and husband, Josh of Elm Springs; and one great-grandson, Jaxon Craine. A memorial service with military honors will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with Clark Snow officiating.
