Jennifer Lee Forrest, age 42, of Fayetteville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 20, 2017, in Hot Springs. Jennifer was born on September 18, 1974, in Fort Smith, the only child of James and Martha Shelton Forrest. She is preceded in death by both parents. After growing up in Fort Smith and graduating from Southside High School in 1992, Jennifer went on to study journalism at Arkansas Tech, proudly following in her father's footsteps. Jennifer became an accomplished graphic designer working for many publications including Today Magazine, Benton County Daily Record and Citiscapes Magazine. She made friends wherever she went and all were important to her, whether casual acquaintances or the family of friends she held together for the last 30+ years--some friends as far back as junior high and grade school. Jennifer is survived by her long-term partner, Chris Alley and cat Sooie; uncles Ricky and Frank Shelton; cousins Cathy Gammill, Amy Little, Neal Shelton, Laurie Cooper, Allison and Elizabeth Shelton. Jennifer will be remembered, as well, by all those countless friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
