Danny Allen Curtis, age 63, of Elkins was called by God to come home on August 21, 2017. He was born April 22, 1954 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the son of Herman D. and Syble N. Curtis. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Tim Curtis. Danny is a Veteran of The United States Army. He worked as a police officer in Florida and Arkansas for 34 years. He retired from the Fayetteville Police Department in 2009. In 2009 Danny established High Ten Photography. He also spent 14 years driving a school bus for Fayetteville schools. He was a deacon of Sulphur City Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School. He is also an Honorary Member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Danny leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Dawn Curtis; his children, Cheyene Curtis and his wife Jennifer, Brad Curtis, Dustin Curtis and his wife Mandy, Austin Curtis and his wife Amber, Tasha Finkus and her husband Jacob, Levi Curtis, John Curtis,Tammie Curtis, Tyrone Curtis, Shampres Curtis, DeDe Curtis, and Sha-Ron Curtis; honorary daughter, Ashley Etie and her husband Jeff; one sister, Laura Curtis and her husband Richard; one brother, Randy Curtis and his wife Trini and eight grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held 12:30 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2017 at Ridgeview Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Interment will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
