Ruth Margaret (Reinstrom) Aronson died of a broken heart on August 18, 2017. She was born March 11, 1928 in Tower, Minn. to Larry and Aune Reinstrom. She attended Tower schools until 1942. Her family moved to Tacoma, Washington where she graduated from Lincoln High School in 1946. She married her life-long boyfriend, Walter "Walt" A. Aronson, Jr in 1949. They move back to Lake Vermilion, MN and purchased the family business from Walter Sr. In 1961, they moved to Lantana, Fla. Working together with Walt, they purchased property and opened Aronson's Boathouse in Lake Worth, Fla. They later changed the name to The Outing Center in Lantana, Fla., selling both boats and RV's. In 1969, they built the first of two cabins on Lake Vermilion that she designed on property that the family had homesteaded. They spent time there every summer, and in later years, gradually increasing to six months or more. Walt and Ruth retired and moved to Rogers, Ark. in 1991, where they built a home to "grow old in." Ruth's interest included many artistic talents, including being an avid seamstress, refinishing furniture, painting, knitting, quilting, gardening, boating, fishing and world traveling with Walt. She was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Tower, Minn. Ruth was a lady, and Walt adored her. At 16 he told his Grandma Osterberg he was going to marry her. She was dedicated and loyal to Walt, family and friends, always leading by example. She is preceded by husband of 67 years, Walt Aronson on April 28, 2017; her parents and one brother, Jackie. She is survived by her children; daughter, Jane Aronson; son, Michael Aronson; grandson, Shawn Aronson; brother, Robert Reinstrom and wife, Karen; sister-in-law, Kaye Aronson; brother-in-law, John Aronson and numerous nieces and nephews. "I have had a good, interesting, contented life and have no regrets. I came, I went and considered it time well spent!" A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Words of comfort may be shared at stockdalefuneral.com.
