Leon Tisdale

Leon Tisdale, 90, of Fayetteville passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his home. He was born April 13, 1926 in Fayetteville to Dewey and Julia Baker Tisdale. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having seen action in the Philippine Islands during WWII; was an M.P. in occupied Japan and served state-side during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Altis Tisdale of the home; his children, Gary Tisdale and wife, Kathy of Kingfisher, Okla., Dewey Tisdale and wife, Brenda of Fayetteville and Judy Ross and husband, Mike of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2016 at Beard's Chapel with Luke George officiating. Interment will follow in Round Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel.
