World Class Jazz Guitarist, Record Producer/Audio Engineer and Teacher, Papa Dave Chiodo, passed peacefully from this life at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville, Arkansas on September 11, 2016. Dave began playing guitar at the age of 9 in Niagara Falls, New York and continued playing the rest of his life. Music became his world as he went on to organize his own band and build a professional recording studio in South Florida. After moving to Arkansas, Papa Dave and his wife Michelle built a Recording Studio and Music Training Center known as MDA Central Casting Studios located inside the Northwest Arkansas Mall. The last days of his life were spent mentoring students, arranging music for recording artists and encouraging young people to find their dream. He was preceded in death by his parents; David Donato and Flora Melidona Chiodo. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Chiodo of the home; two sons, Darin Chiodo of Bentonville, Ark. and David Christopher Chiodo and wife Amy of Fayetteville, Ark.; two daughters, Terri Moser and husband Victor of Neosho, Mo. and Penni Pierce and husband Mark of Windom, Texas; one brother Christopher Chiodo and wife Linda and one sister, Marie Bradshaw both of Boynton Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; Jared Moser, Bradley Moser, Dr. Robert Moser, John Moser, Daniel Moser, Abby Allphin, Mark Pierce, Rachel Allphin, Tahnee Hansen, Briana McSloy, and Kyla Pierce; 23 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 7 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Springdale, Ark. The address for the service is 6738 Lynch's Prairie Ct.
