Rebecca Marie Jackson

Rebecca Marie (Becca) Jackson of Bentonville, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2016, at her home. She was born April 5, 1950, in Alpena, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erma Maples Jackson and Clell Jackson. Becca is survived by her brother, Blaine Jackson and his wife Helen; two nephews, Aaron and Alex Jackson; and Alex's wife Erin and their two children Lauren and Tanner, all of Bentonville, Ark. Other surviving family members are Janice and Al Metcalf; and Debra and John Barton, of Tempe, Ariz.; and Rob, Melissa, Lance, and Layne Metcalf of Los Alamos, N.M. Becca, held a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arkansas (1973), and did graduate work at the Duke School of Divinity, in Durham, N.C. She worked in Winston-Salem for the North Carolina Department of Protective Services for many years, before returning to Ark. and working as a writer and editor for the Benefits Department of the Walmart Home Office for over 15 years. She was proficient writer, and also served as an editor for individual clients. She last worked for the Rogers Public Library, which fit well with her lifelong love of books. Becca will be remembered not only for her excellence in editing and writing but for her love of animals. She is known for rescuing multiple  animals who were in danger of being injured or hurt.
