Wesley Lee Warnock, 82 of Alma, Ark. went to be with his precious Lord and Savior on Friday, September 2, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born August 13, 1934 in Picher, Okla. to the late Mirl and Lillie Warnock. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Warnock and his brother George. He is survived by his five children; Jan Bowlin and husband Mark of Orlando, Fla., Clay Warnock and wife Becky of Alma, Ark., Clif Warnock and wife Jayne of Fort Smith, Ark., Monica Rhoades and husband Shane of Springdale, Ark., Cilinda Giezentanner and husband Greg of Fayetteville, AR, one sister Elizabeth McMahen and husband James of Alma, Ark., 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild and many beloved nieces and nephews. Wesley loved his hometown of Alma. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church where he served as deacon and faithfully led the Senior Men's Sunday School Class for many years. He also served on the Alma Public School Board. Wesley had a passion for serving others and was heavily involved in numerous church ministries. He was always looking to help those in need, whether a part of his church family or elsewhere. Wesley especially enjoyed visiting people in nursing homes and hospitals and helping with Christmas Food Drives. Professionally, Wesley was known statewide as a real estate broker and developer. He owned and operated Arkansas Land Agency for several decades. He was appointed multiple terms to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission, where he also served as chairman for a term. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Alma with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Chris Warnock, Joshua Warnock, Dustin Bowlin, Brent Rhoades, Colby Rhoades and Andrew Giezentanner. Honorary pallbearers are the men of his Sunday School Class. The family will visit with friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
