Helen Nobles

Helen Nobles 97, of Fayetteville passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in Fayetteville. She was born October 6, 1918 in Hamburg, Arkansas the daughter of Andrew and Helen Woods. She was the last of a family of eight sisters and one brother. Helen married Arthur Nobles March 27, 1941 and they lived in Benton, Arkansas for 47 years. She was preceded in death by Arthur in 1983 and by their sons, Don Nobles and Howard Nobles and one grandson, Hunter Smith. Survivors include daughter, Martha Smith and husband, Tim of Kennedale, Texas; step-daughter, Betty Matthews of Monticello, Arkansas; three grandsons, Dr. Hank Matthews and wife, Dianne of Fayetteville, Ethan Nobles of Benton and Zachary Nobles of North Carolina; twp granddaughters, Anna Grace Smith of Abilene, Texas and Katie Smith of Kennedale, Texas; one step-granddaughter, Laura Wilson of Bentonville, Arkansas; nephew, Linwood Durrett of Lake Charles, La.; niece, Nancy Hawking of Little Rock and special friends of the heart, Susan and Cort Chaney of Lafayette, Indiana and Barbara and Doug Prichard of Fayetteville. Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Moore's Funeral Chapel. Memorials may be made to Sequoyah United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
