Charles (Dub) Soden, age 80, of Fayetteville, passed away at Willard Walker Hospice Home on August 30th after a long illness. He was born April 8, 1936 in Salem, Arkansas to Lother and Goldie Soden. Dub served in the U.S. military for 24 years. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal and is a Purple Heart recipient. He was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Dub is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois; three children, Stephanie Tibbs (Barry) of Fayetteville; Michael Soden (Michelle) of Lowell; Tiffany Milliman (Gregory) of Suriname; his sister Faye O'Neal of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dub was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol Taylor of Little Rock. Rosary service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 with visitation to follow from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Moore's Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. Friday at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph's church building fund, 1722 North Starr Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701 or Fayetteville's Senior Center Meals on Wheels Program, 945 South College Avenue, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.
