Carol Heathman Albert, 71 of Goshen, Ark. passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016 at Willard Walker Hospice in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born December 7, 1944 in Fayetteville, Ark. to Norman D. Heathman and Hazel (Calhoun) Heathman. She was co–owner and operator of Kitchen Distributors, Inc. She is survived by her husband, David Albert, one daughter, Andi Stephens and husband Mike of Fayetteville, Ark., one sister Mary Helen Mulkey and husband Jim of Little Rock, Ark., one brother, Dwight Heathman and wife Helen of Springdale, Ark., and one grandchild, Chance Stephens. Carol moved to Fayetteville as a student at the University of Arkansas, where she met the love of her life, David Albert. They were married the day after she graduated and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in June. During her career, carol taught business subjects at Springdale High School, worked as an accountant at the University of Arkansas, and helped Dave establish and run the family business, Kitchen Distributors, Inc. Carol loved reading, gardening, playing bridge, and drinking wine. In her retirement, she was active in chapter K of the PEO sisterhood and started "Reading between the Wines" book club. She was past president of the Maple Hills Garden Club and active in several bridge clubs. Carol asked that there be no formal services. A celebration of Carol's life will be held at a later date.
